Düsseldorf’s main airport “Düsseldorf International Airport” (‘DUS’) in the north of the city is well connected to national and international destinations. Trains from the airport to Düsseldorf Main Station run on a 10 – 20 min. schedule

(The airports “Düsseldorf-Weeze” and “Düsseldorf-Mönchengladbach” are quite far from the city and the university. If you prefer these airports please calculate a travelling time of app. 90 minutes (Weeze) and 60 min. (Mönchengladbach), respectively, to the city center.)

Düsseldorf Main Station is connected to Germany’s ICE fast train grid. Please calculate 15-30 minutes from Düsseldorf Main Station to the Faculty of Law / DLS, depending on your choice of transport.

1) Public Transport

a) Take Streetcar Line 707 from Düsseldorf Main Station [app. 25 min.] or Lines 711, 716 from Düsseldorf City Center / Station “Jan Wellem Platz” [app. 15 min.] until end of line (Station: “Universität Ost / Botanischer Garten”).

b) Follow the passenger’s walk to the right. Pass the buildings on your left. The Faculty of Law and Düsseldorf Law School is the first building on the right. Cross the bridge and enter the building.

2) Arrival by Car from the North / Düsseldorf City Center / Düsseldorf Airport (for visitors from the Netherlands, Belgium, Hannover, Berlin, Hamburg)

a) Cross the City. Leave city in South direction via “Berliner Allee” or “Oststraße”, merging with “Corneliusstraße”. Continue going South. “Corneliusstraße” turns into “Witzelstraße”.

b) Follow “Witzelstraße” until you have passed a passengers’ bridge. Follow the sign “Universität” to the right onto “Universitätsstraße”.

c) You will pass a large parking lot (on left hand’s side) and reach a crossing with traffic lights. Turn to the left onto “Christophstraße.”

d) “Christophstraße” ends at a sign indicating playing children. For parking, turn left and find a parking spot on the university campus parking in front of you.

e) Walk back to the turn with the sign, and turn to the right. Walk 50m until you see challenged people’s parking lots.

f) The Faculty of Law and Düsseldorf Law School is on the right hand’s side. Surround the building and enter from the front, crossing a bridge.

3) Arrival by Car from the South (visitors from France / Luxembourg / Frankfurt / Cologne)

a) Enter City from the South over Autobahn No. 46, exit „Zentrum / Universität“.

b) Follow the sign “Universität” to the left onto “Universitätsstraße”.

c) You will pass a large parking lot (on left hand’s side) and reach a crossing with traffic lights. Turn to the left onto “Christophstraße.”

d) “Christophstraße” ends at a sign indicating playing children. For parking, turn left and find a parking spot on the university campus parking in front of you.

e) Walk back to the turn with the sign, and turn to the right. Walk 50m until you see challenged people’s parking lots.

f) The Faculty of Law and Düsseldorf Law School is on the right hand’s side. Surround the building and enter from the front, crossing a bridge.

4) Taxi

      For a taxi from Düsseldorf Main Station, please calculate app. 15-20 Euro, from Düsseldorf International Airport please calculate 30 - 40 Euro.
